This recent editorial for Japanese Vogue photographed by Sølve Sundsbø is fantastic. The Prada jewel pieces (5th down) and that stunning Alexander McQueen outfit in the sixth picture down really make the model look like some sort of fantasy sea creature. I wonder if the model was actually underwater, or if it is clever retouching? If I was directing the shoot, I don't think I could ever bring myself to sumberge (and probably ruin) all that stunning, fragile clothing. Assuming it was actually shot underwater, I wonder if it was done before McQueen died, because after McQueen's death his company announced that they were recalling all the samples, so as to preserve his legacy, and surely they wouldn't have allowed them to be soaked in a swimming pool after then?
